Free Public Forum April 19 to Celebrate
Fair Housing Month
St. Petersburg, Fla. (March 14, 2008) - The Tampa Bay Fair Housing Consortium and the city of St. Petersburg will host an education forum titled Fair Housing: Its Not an Option Its the Law at the Pinellas Realtor® Organization, 4590 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, on Saturday, April 19, from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The fair housing event is free and is designed to promote awareness and provide resources to the public related to the topics of predatory lending and foreclosure, disability laws and fair housing. The program will begin with a welcome from Karen Jackson Sims, field office director, Tampa Office, U.S. Housing and Urban Development; and Senator Mike Fasano. The program will conclude with a luncheon featuring speaker Candace Tapscott, director, Miami FHEO Center, U.S. Housing and Urban Development.
