GARDEN CLUB OF ST. PETERSBURG HOSTS “GARDENS IN FOCUS” FLOWER SHOW AT GREEN THUMB FESTIVAL
St. Petersburg, Fla. (April 22, 2008) - The Garden Club of St. Petersburg is hosting a flower show presented by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, District VIII from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at the Walter Fuller Park Community Center, 7891 26th Avenue North. Themed “Gardens in Focus”, the standard flower show competition awards excellence in floral design based on horticulture, artistic design and special exhibit categories. The flower show is being held in conjunction with the city’s 2008 Green Thumb Festival at Walter Fuller Park. Now in its 22nd year, the weekend family festival draws nearly 30,000 visitors to the shady park featuring horticultural, gardening and environmental vendors, exhibitors and programs.
