Some City Facilities Closed May 26 for Memorial Day Holiday

St. Petersburg, Fla. (May 15, 2008) - Some city facilities will be closed to the public due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 26, 2008:

City Facility Mon. May 26:
• Albert Whitted Municipal Airport administrative offices closed
• Boyd Hill Nature Park (closed on Mondays) closed
• Business Assistance Center closed
• City Hall & Municipal Services Center downtown closed
• Coliseum, box office & business offices closed
• Enoch Davis Center closed
• St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue headquarters closed
• Three Golf Courses (Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links & Twin Brooks) OPEN
• Five Public Libraries closed
• West St. Petersburg Community Library closed
• Mahaffey Theater at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts closed
• Municipal beach concession stand (Treasure Island) OPEN
• Municipal Marina OPEN
• Parking Citation Payment Office closed
• The Pier OPEN
• St. Petersburg Police Department administrative support
units, detective functions & 4 Community Resource Centers closed
• North Shore Pool (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) OPEN
• 8 neighborhood pools (1 to 4 p.m.) OPEN
• Port of St. Petersburg administrative offices closed
• Recreation Centers/Playcamp sites & 3 Adult Centers closed
• Recreation & Parks administrative offices closed
• Sanitation Department Brush Sites OPEN
• Sunken Gardens attraction OPEN (SG business offices closed)
• Sunshine Center closed
• City Utility Accounts Payment Center closed

Residential Sanitation Pick-Up:
During the week of May 26, residential trash collections normally made on Monday will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday.
