School Tour Information and Suggestions

K-12 Groups

Tours for school-age students in grades K-12 last no longer than one hour and include historical facts about the City and City Hall, as well as a visit to the television studio. Additional special requests for appearances from the Mayor or City Council Members should be submitted at the time of the Tour Request. The maximum number of guests should not exceed 25 people, including chaperones. The City recommends one teacher or chaperone for every 5 students, though special circumstances are taken into consideration and should be approved prior to arrival.

College Coursework Groups

Tours of City Hall are offered to College and University groups as a half-day college-level experience and require coordination of special guests. Because these programs require extensive scheduling, requests should be made no later than 3 months in advance. Special consideration is made around City Council meeting dates and requests for proclamations. The maximum number of guests should not exceed 20 people, including professors and/or guests.
